The work of Skylar Fein is particularly graphic and lends itself to create a minimal vehicle through layout and type, to showcase his work. His work captures a moment in cultural history and often involves a manifesto, conceptually central to the work itself. Setting Dan Cameron’s essay with headers askew and large body type in the center of the publication, felt right in trying to evoke a bit of the spirit of the manifesto and its call to action. It was a break in the design of what ultimately is the commercial gallery’s sales catalog.
