The design in this publication was an attempt to do something playful, typographical, ornate, and ultimately experimenting with alternative cover binding methods, as well as introducing my new found interest in map-making aesthetics.
Upon revisiting this publication, while there are some unnecessary elements of text styling and ‘window-dressing,’ it was this flourishing that seemed appropriate of this particular time and energy in the growing arts scene, in New Orleans. It was an attempt to share this intensity, combining it with the expectations of the typical exhibition catalog.
