Creating a modular system of elements for the purpose of making quick and particularly off-looking posters [for the New Orleans landscape, at least] with no budget, and to be easily produced same-day, in-house on our Risograph, was the goal of this ongoing poster series for events in the Deltaworkers artist residency program.

Title, date, time, and location with a large image were the most important parts of the communication of the event posters. There was also to be a large amount of information in the form of artist biographies, project explanations, and sponsor logos. We decided to use the Deltaworker logo we created, as the main focal point, giving a bit of depth, dimension, and something to tell it apart from all other posters, which tend toward the typical look of venue listings for the tourist scene. We wanted something bold and recognizable, so this was the solution we found, that required little effort in updates, but kept a certain synchronicity in association with the other posters.
In compiling this site and seeing all of these posters together gives me an overall nice feeling. I imagine it is rare to have an opportunity to work on a set of cultural posters for this many years and able to print them as well and so for this, I am grateful.
