Creating a modular system of elements for the purpose of making quick and particularly off-looking posters [for the New Orleans landscape, at least] with no budget, and to be easily produced same-day, in-house on our Risograph, was the goal of this ongoing poster series for events in the Deltaworkers artist residency program.<\/p>\n

Title, date, time, and location with a large image were the most important parts of the communication of the event posters. There was also to be a large amount of information in the form of artist biographies, project explanations, and sponsor logos. We decided to use the Deltaworker logo we created, as the main focal point, giving a bit of depth, dimension, and something to tell it apart from all other posters, which tend toward the typical look of venue listings for the tourist scene.
